A single test pit was excavated in the rear garden of 22 Mulberry Avenue, as part of a private research project. The investigation revealed a likely late 20th century animal burial, cut into a sequence of likely late post-medieval soils, overlying natural sands. An assemblage of mostly post-medieval artefacts was recovered from the soils, along with a few redeposited sherds of Roman pottery. {1}
