Report on the excavation of a single test pit, dug in the rear garden of 22 Mulberry Avenue as part of a private research project. The investigation revealed a likely late 20th century animal burial, cut into a sequence of likely late post-medieval soils, overlying natural sands. An assemblage of mostly post-medieval artefacts was recovered from the soils, along with a few redeposited sherds of Roman pottery.
