Eleven trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land off Wardentree Lane, Pinchbeck. The remains of a large number of ditches were recorded across the site, of which the majority could be dated to the post-medieval period. Finds of pottery recovered from some of the ditches dated a group in the south-western corner of the site to the late Iron Age, and a further group in the north to the medieval period. {1}{2}
