Description
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was conducted to inform the proposed construction of a solar farm on land at High Leas, Reston. Traces of medieval ridge and furrow were noted across the site, along with other faint magnetic anomalies possibly indicating the remains of a ditch and a small group of pits. {1}
Subsequent trial trenching in this area confirmed the presence of medieval ridge and furrow across the site, but resolved the other anomalies as being of natural origin (see ELI12313).
