Description

An archaeological strip, map and record excavation was conducted to inform the proposed construction of new housing on land at Westerley Way, Wygate Park, Spalding. Likely medieval features were recorded including ring-ditches, pits and boundary ditches, although the exact function of the ring-ditch features could not be confirmed. Post-medieval features were also recorded, including dumped deposits associated with the construction of the adjacent drains. {1}{2}
