Description

A scheme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeological Services during groundworks for a new retail building at the former Talbot Inn, Caistor between April and September 2010. A disturbed inhumation cemetery was discovered. Radiocarbon dating of two skeletons revealed early 8th century dates although late Roman pottery was also found with some skeletons. {1}{2}
