Description

An archaeological strip, map and record was undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeological Services in July and August 2009 during an ongoing management plan for the extension of Castle Quarry. Evidence of an Iron Age farming settlement and a Roman military camp was revealed. {1}{2}
