Abstract/Summary
Archive for trial trenching carried out on circa 0.2ha of land off Church Road, Old Leake, to inform a proposed residential development. Two trenches measuring 12m by 1.6m were excavated, the first placed at the rear of the property and the second placed at the front adjacent to the frontage with Church Road. Trench placement was constrained by elements of the current and former uses of the site and by a mains sewer running north-east/south-west across the rear of the site. A large post-Medieval pit, two undated ditches and a probable former dyke were encountered.
