Report on a single trial trench excavated on land at 4 Park Road, prior to the construction of an extension to the rear of the current property. A ditch of possible Saxo-Norman date was encountered beneath a buried topsoil, which itself was sealed by a series of dumped post-Medieval ground raising deposits. Pits, ditches, and a brick-lined culvert were recorded cutting these deposits.
