Abstract/Summary
The report on a Level 2 Historic Building Recording that was undertaken on 41 Watergate, Grantham, (known as "The Playhouse" pub) prior to a redevelopment of the site into commercial and residential units. 41 Watergate is a terraced property of late 18th to early 19th century date, originally a pair of shops with private residence before its conversion into a public house. The interior of the building shows heavy modification and underwent exterior and interior alterations, following its conversion into a public house.
