Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising eight trial trenches excavated on land off Asperton Road, Wigtoft, to inform the proposed construction of a residential development. Ditches forming a probable Medieval field system were encountered, along with a row of postholes and a waste pit of the same date. A moderate quantity of Medieval pottery, mostly dating to the 12th-13th centuries, was recovered.
