A scheme of geophysical magnetometry survey was undertaken in 2018 in advance of a quarry extension at Ropsley Quarry. Several linear features recorded correlate with cropmarks. A possible Roman road was also recorded along with possible former enclosures or trackways. Cropmark ring ditches were not recorded in the survey, which may suggest the below ground remains have been damaged.
