Abstract/Summary
The archive on a single trench that was excavated at 8A Chapel Street prior to the development of seven residential dwellings. A palaeochannel, possibly related to a water spring, was uncovered, as well as a east-west aligned ditch possibly related to the Roman wall. Demolition material of a limestone wall was also uncovered. Several sherds of pottery, dating from the Roman to post-medieval era, as was several animal bones and a George V halfpenny, were recovered the palaeochannel.
