Archive for an archaeological evaluation comprising ten trial trenches excavated on land off Langton Hill, Horncastle, to inform the proposed construction of a housing development. A series of undated (though likely post-Medieval) ditches, gullies, and pits were encountered. The presence of post-Medieval field boundaries identified in prior magnetometry survey (see ELI11515) was also confirmed. Modern field drains were noted across the site.
