Abstract/Summary

Report on the excavation of three trial trenches, dug as part of a research project into the site of a suspected Roman farmstead, on land off Kenwick Road, Louth. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered in any of the trenches, though several sherds of Roman greyware pottery were identified as surface finds in the field.

Description

These notes were collated by staff of Lincolnshire County Council, following discussions with staff at the University of Hull. The investigation was conducted as part of an undergraduate teaching programme. A scan of this document is held in the HER's Digital Sources folder.
