Abstract/Summary
Report on a brief programme of archaeological recording, conducted after a large, T-shaped fragment of wood was found washed up on the foreshore at Moggs Eye after heavy storms in late January 2017. The fragment measured some 4.4m long, and was tentatively identified as a possible early medieval ship's timber. The fragment was recovered for conservation treatment and further investigation.
