Abstract/Summary
Report on a historic building survey undertaken at The Old Forge on Common Way, Tydd St Mary, prior to its demolition and replacement with a residential property. The surveyed building was a single storey red brick structure under a pitched gabled roof of corrugated asbestos, with a modern flat roofed extension to the south, wooden lean-to garages to the east, and a low coal bunker with internal opening to the smithy projecting from the south elevation. The north wall may have been a survival from an earlier structure.
