A geophysical survey was carried out by APS for Wild Trout Turst Limited on land south of Dunston Fen Lane, Dunston, for a proposed river improvement scheme. A magnetic anomaly was detected, associated with a post-medieval field boundary that can be seen in late 19th century mapping. A house and outbuilding can also be seen in 19th century mapping, which appear as bipolar disturbance in the geophysical survey. Other anomalies appeared in the survey that are probably of agricultural or natural origin. {1}
