Abstract/Summary
Archive for a topographic survey carried out in advance of a residential development of nine dwellings. It took place in an area of land to the rear of residential buildings facing on to Station Road and Town Road. Ridge and furrow earthworks were recorded throughout the site, which are representative of the since-lost medieval village's open-field system. The majority of ridge and furrow earthworks run parallel to the western boundary of the site; 11 of these ridges are recorded, with a north-north-west to south-south-east alignment. The north-eastern corner of the site, approximately a quadrant, is recorded as having 9 ridges perpendicular to the rest on the site.
