Description

Report for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted during the construction of two residential buildings on land at the Crown Hotel Car Park, West End, Holbeach in May 2019. Two pits were identified in the area of the foundation trenches, but they did not contain any finds. They were thought to possibly be of medieval date. A third possibly medieval pit or occupation deposit was identified in the soakaway excavation to the south. No further archaeological features were identified.
