Abstract/Summary
A photograph taken during inspection works of the Holbeach Town Tunnel in 1968. The Town Tunnel was the name given to the 19th century engineering works that constrained the former Holbeach river, channelling it underground through the town centre. The photograph may show the remains of a former medieval bridge, incorporated into the tunnel.
