Archive for the excavation of three trial trenches, dug to inform proposed development on land to the west of Newark Road, Newton on Trent. A north to south aligned, linear ditch was recorded towards the western edge of the site, with the adjacent remains of a circular pit lying to its immediate east. No finds or dating material were recovered from the fills of either feature however, and their exact origins remains uncertain.
