Abstract/Summary

Archive for the excavation of ten trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land at Langton Hill, Horncastle. The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI13490). Traces of east to west aligned linear features were noted in some of the trenches, along with a series of modern land drains running across the site. It was thought possible that these linear features may represent the remains of heavily truncated ridge and furrow.
