Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during groundworks for the installation of a new electric power cable at the Church of St Andrew, Hole Gate, Halton Holegate. Part of the foundations for the church's west tower were exposed by the works, but no other archaeologically significant features or finds were encountered. The tower was largely rebuilt in the mid 19th century, with the foundations comprising stone ashlar basal courses resting on an offset foundation of brick stretchers.
