Title 'Our Lovely Horse' in Archaeology Ireland
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2016

Abstract/Summary

Article detailing a Romano-British figurine of an armoured god riding a horse, believed to have been found near to Brills Farm, Norton Disney. The style of the horse is suggestive of the smaller 'hobbey' type of horse, commonly found in medieval Britain and Ireland, and possibly indicating earlier origins for this type in the British Isles.
