Abstract/Summary
Report on the programme of historic building recording of the ha ha wall at Spridlington Hall, conducted in response to a planning condition as part of a successful Listed Building Consent application for the Hall. The ha ha wall was built between 1950-1967, likely using reused materials for the construction. It is an interesting element in the setting of the Hall, but is not an original or early feature of the designed landscape, and therefore has limited historical significance. It is located in the grounds of the Grade II listed Spridlington Hall, which was built in the early Victorian period as a rectory, and has now been converted into a private dwelling.
