Abstract/Summary
Report on a programme of historic building recording, conducted to inform the proposed conversion to residential use of a range of outbuildings at 32 High Street (the Angel public house), Wainfleet All Saints. The surveyed buildings comprise an attached group of likely early 19th century structures, built of whitewashed red brick and featuring largely pantile roofs. The surviving structures had originally formed part of a much larger range of outbuildings, mostly demolished in the 20th century, which had run along the northern boundary of the inn site. Their exact original function is uncertain, although it was thought possible that they may have served as stables and tack rooms for travellers arriving at the inn.
