Abstract/Summary
Archive for the magnetometry survey, conducted to inform proposed residential development on land off Barlings Lane, Langworth. A large number of linear magnetic anomalies were recorded by the survey, running across much of the site. Most of these anomalies likely relate to modern cultivation disturbance or drainage, although it was thought possible that some may represent areas of former medieval ridge and furrow. The curvilinear remains of a probable former palaeochannel was also identified, although no trace of the previously identified prehistoric enclosure in this area was found, suggesting it may have been degraded by modern ploughing.
