Author/Originator
Date/Year 2012

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the two phases of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during the construction of replacement outbuildings at Church View House, Kirkby-cum-Osgodby. The initial phase of monitoring was undertaken in May 2008, but was suspended until June 2012, when groundworks at the site re-commenced. Seven undated linear features, possibly field boundaries or ditches, and a Victorian brick built well, recorded on the Ordnance Survey maps, were found in the initial phase. An additional stratified deposit and linear feature of indeterminate date, and a large rubbish pit and possible drain of modern date were recorded in the second phase.
