Report on the excavation of two test pits, dug to the immediate east of the post-medieval part of St Michael and All Angels Church, South Hykeham, to ascertain the reason for structural defects in the church's apse. Evidence for an earlier building on the site was recovered in the form of limestone and roof tile rubble.
