Abstract/Summary

Archive for the archaeological watching brief, conducted during groundworks associated with the reduction of a former terrace to the rear of the Manvers Arms public house, at 204-206 Monks Road, Lincoln. No archaeological features were encountered, although several layers of made ground were recorded, from which a single redeposited sherd of very abraded Roman pottery was recovered along with other late post-medieval material. The layers were very likely deposited during the creation of the terrace and construction of the pub in 1934.
