Abstract/Summary
Archive for the excavation of a single trial trench, dug to inform proposed residential development on land at South Street, Keelby. The trench was located to investigate a distinct mound, identified by a previously conducted earthwork survey. The mound was found to have been formed in the 20th century by the banking of topsoil upon a natural ground slope. Undated features including the remains of former post holes and a ditch were recorded underneath the mound. A small quantity of residual medieval pottery was recovered from tree throws and root disturbances also underlying the mound.
