Title Excavation of the Deeping St Nicholas Barrow Complex, South Lincolnshire
Author/Originator
Date/Year 1994

Abstract/Summary

During the late winter of 1989 and the spring of 1990, a rescue excavation was mounted to examine and record a remarkably intact Bronze Age round barrow at Deeping St Nicholas, Lincolnshire. It proved to be a fascinating and complex undertaking - not one barrow, but two - not just a barrow but a funerary progression outlining changes in burial and memorial traditions through the early and middle Bronze Ages.
