Full Description
The memorial is a stone cross that stands alongside Captain's Hill at the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew. It has a three-stepped base surmounted by a plinth supporting a tapered shaft and calvary reaching an overall height of almost fifteen feet (four and a half metres). It is surrounded by iron railings. It was dedicated in 1921 in order to commemorate those who fought in the First World War. Additional tablets were placed at the base for remembrance of the Second World War. The memorial includes men from Roxholm. {1}
