Full Description

A three bay, concrete anti-aircraft pillbox of the Second World War Coastal Crust. The pillbox faces east and is now largely buried. {1}{2} The structure was largely demolished in October 2012, during groundworks for the renewal of the coastal flood defences between Tetney and Saltfleet. The circle of iron bolts, forming the holdfast for the light anti-aircraft gun, was photographed in what would have been the central portion of the type 23 pillbox. A clearly associated area of hard standing bordered by a short wall was also recorded to the immediate south of the pillbox. {3}{4}
