Full Description
Two linear ditches were recorded in May 2012, during a trial trench investigation of the remains of the First World War training camp at Belton Park. The ditches were both between 1.5m and 2m in width, though were both relatively shallow. They appeared to be filled by redeposited natural, and were largely archaeologically sterile, with only a small, heavily abraded body sherd of Romano-British greyware pottery being recovered from one of the ditch fills. {1}{2}
