Full Description

A Cave Adullam chapel - a denomination of Strict Baptists - was built in 1839. The building is of yellow brick with a gabled roof. It has pilasters and square-headed arches. The gable is raised and has stone coping and an ocular window. There is a tablet on the gable: 'Cave Adullam, 1839.' The chapel closed in 1985 when the congregation moved to a new chapel on Bridge Street, and the building was subsequently converted into a house. {1}{2}{3}
