Full Description

Two sections of a narrow, north to south aligned ditch were excavated in 2011, during an evaluation to inform the proposed construction of a new water treatment works, to the south-west of Newton on Trent. The two sections were recorded in separate but adjacent trenches, and were thought to almost certainly be from the same feature, due to their identical alignment. No finds were recovered from either section, however, and the feature remains undated. {1}{2}
