Full Description

A Wesleyan Methodist chapel was first built on Cagthorpe in c.1786. It was stated by Walter that the chapel was 'a few yards to the north of the present Baptist place of worship' (see PRN 47928). The chapel was rebuilt on the same site in 1809. This building was closed in 1837 when it was replaced by a new chapel on Queen Street (see PRN 48995). The exact location of the chapels within Horncastle remains unknown. {1}{2}{3}
