Full Description

Queen Street Chapel, a Wesleyan Methodist chapel, was opened on Good Friday 1837. It incorporated interior fittings from an earlier Wesleyan chapel in Horncastle. In 1869, and at a cost of £5,768, the chapel was rebuilt on the same site and now had seating for 1024 people. An adjoining Sunday school was built in 1875, at a cost of £2,578. In 1962 the chapel was deemed unsafe and was closed and then demolished. In 1965 a new chapel was built on the site. {1}{2}{3}{4}
