Full Description

The first Wesleyan Methodist chapel in South Somercotes was built in 1813. It was rebuilt, probably on the same site, in 1836, with seating for 101. The chapel probably closed in 1869 when a new Wesleyan chapel opened in the village (see PRN 48876). The exact location of the chapel within the settlement is unknown, as is what became of the chapel after it was replaced. It is possible that the chapel has now been demolished. {1}{2}{3}
