Full Description
Asterby's Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1866, replacing a chapel of 1838. In 1901, part of the chapel was partitioned off to create a schoolroom. The chapel was closed in 1940, as the congregation moved to the United Methodist Free chapel situated just to the north. The building was sold for £50 and became a potato chitting house before being demolished. {1}{2}{3}{4}
