Full Description

The first St John's Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1818. This structure was rebuilt on the same site in the 1870s. The building is of red brick and has a gabled roof. It has yellow and charcoal brick arches and string courses. There is a large ocular window on the raised gable, which has pinnacles and a finial. There is cogging under the eaves and tumbled brickwork to the sides of the porch. There are also numerous foundation stones, dating from 1876. {1}{2}{3}
