Full Description

The second Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Maltby-le-Marsh was built opposite the previous chapel (PRN 48843) in 1873, with seating for 180. The chapel closed in 1996 and was subsequently converted into the village hall. The building is of yellow brick and has a gabled pantile roof. The windows havered and yellow rubbed brick pointed arches and stone hood mouldings. There is a red and charcol brick string course, a plinth and decorative buttresses. A new doorway has been inserted into the south elevation and the windows altered to accommodate. {1}{2}{3}{4} A commemorative plaque hangs on the east side of the hall, honouring those who fought and those who died in the the First World War (see PRN49537). {5}
