Full Description

Substantial fragments of an early prehistoric pottery vessel and a heavily patinated flint blade were found in close proximity during the insertion of a new outfall pipe for Swinderby Sewage Treatment Works, Thurlby. The artefacts were not recovered from identifiable features, but from the horizon between the topsoil and underlying natural clay. {1}{2}
