Full Description
A series of re-cut linear boundary features were identified in August 2013, during trial trenching on land to the north of Kingerby Wood, Osgodby. A small quantity of pottery sherds and animal bone fragments from the ditch fills suggested a probable late Iron Age or early Romano-British date for the features. Other recovered finds included a possible Roman copper alloy nail cleaner, a fragment of possible Roman smithing hearth slag, and a Roman iron nail. {1}{2}
