Full Description

During evaluation at Castle Moat House, Lincoln in 2010, Trench 1 revealed a stone revetment wall. Associated finds include two pottery sherds of Nottingham stoneware, six sherds of Pearl ware and a sherd of Transfer-printed ware. The assemblafe dates from the late 18th to mid 19th century. Trench 2 also revealed part of a revetment wall, but of different stone. During the watching brief in 2011, most of the east faces of the revetment walls from Trench 1 and Trench 2 were revealed. {1}{2}
