Full Description

A ditch with a prehistoric flint flake, a ditch terminus or pit with a Mesolithic bladelet and a Mesolithic flint chip and a ditch with a Mesolithic retouched tool, prehistoric unclassified flint tool and animal bone were found during trial trenching on land off South Bourne by AOC Archaeology in July 2010. {1}{2} Subsequent archaeological excavation revealed pits of probable Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date, from which a small assemblage of pottery was recovered. {3}{4}
