Full Description

Trial trenching was undertaken on land at Eastgate, Bourne by Archaeological Project Services in August 2011. In trench one, late 12th to 14th century pottery and animal bone was found along with a possible medieval wall. In trench two, a pit which contained late 12th to 15th century pottery, fired clay, animal bone and parts of 14th century shoes. {1}{2}
