Trial trenching was undertaken on land at Eastgate, Bourne by Archaeological Project Services in August 2011. Two medieval pits which contained pottery, fired clay and parts of 14th century leather shoes and post medieval walls and cellars of buildings marked on the Ordnance Survey maps were found. {1}{2}
